This shelf holds Michael's blessing outfit made by my mom, a hanging cross stitch gift from Nadell, booties from my friend Steph with a candy binky from my baby shower at home & blocks that I painted a few months before Michael was born.Michael's crib looks a little empty because the bumper has been taken out for safety reasons. I think I need more above his crib & now Michael's feet prints don't stand out because of the colors being to similar. I didn't think about this when I picked the paint color. I stamped his foot print when he was between 1-2 months old. Any ideas to make them stand out more would be helpful! I can't completely repaint them but I could paint the border? Hmm not quite sure what else I could do.
I never noticed until after I painted Michael's room that his changing table is a darker wood than his crib. I guess I don't mind that much but when I bought the floating shelf to go above it I noticed it matched the crib and not the changing table. Bummer but oh well. I need a little help here too! It's too bare!
The best part about Michael's room is when he's doing this in it!

I have an idea!!! Make a shadow box for the foot print wall hangings... What do you think? You can even put in a small picture of him from about the same time the foot prints were made. Just a thought. :) good luck with it!

It looks good Kels! As far as ideas with the footprints, you could definitely re-paint the edge and change the ribbon color?....have you looked for any more pics to hang or do you want to keep it simple? Pics of Michael would be cute...there are a ton of ideas out there, just look around, something will come to you. Maybe a picture of Jesus with little kids? Sweet little sleeping baby Michael.

Shelb I didn't even think about changing the ribbon if I painted the edges. Good thinking.
I was thinking about the wall today and was thinking that maybe a different color border around the room would perk it up. Divide up things a little too. You could paint one or wallpaper one. Then, you could even put the footprints right onto the border (if it's like dark blue or something).
His room looks so cute Kelsey! you did a great job! I love the colors and I really wouldn't worry about the wood not being the same color! it looks great!
