3 Months

Landon turned 3months on the 16th of December.  He is growing like a weed and already feels so heavy to carry.  He found his fist a week or so ago and tends to perfer it over his pacifier.   He has funny hair where it's longer in some places and kind of looks like a comb over at times.  He's rubbed off a large patch at the back of his head and has the male pattern baldness look going on.  Plus it didn't help that he has random bald spots from me trying to get rid of his cradle cap. So I decided to even out the growing field by buzzing it all off.  I think it's a huge improvement.  It's bound to all fall out when his real hair grows in anyway so I am just giving it a little head start.  (The first pic is before the buzz.)

Santa and Gingerbread Trains

December 10th our ward had it's Christmas party.  Michael was excited to see Santa & tell him what he wanted.  He was originally going to sit on his lap but changed his mind while waiting in line.  At least he wasn't afraid to talk to him.  Or was he...he looks a little unsure here.

Here he is listing off what he wants... the names of trains.

That Sunday we opened up a train gingerbread kit we'd purchased that weekend to decorate.  Michael didn't care much about putting it together.  He just wanted to eat the frosting, candy & cookies, which he was successful in doing as you can see the frosting all over his face.  I couldn't keep him out of it!

Sweet pose with the finished product.

A little cheese with that. :)  So photogenic this boy.
I had fun doing this with Michael but I had a hard time letting him just go at it.  I was trying to figure out how it went together and he just wanted to take over.  I have a hard time letting things fly but he sure is teaching me how.

Random happenings while in WA

This is the wrap up to the WA posts with random happenings.

This first picture comes with a story:
I woke up early with the boys & went downstairs to discover the heater not working on the main floor or the basement.  It was working upstairs thankfully.  My mom had already left for work so I let my dad know before he took off and he checked out a few things but was unable to fix the problem.  We scheduled a visit with Cambell & Co.  While we waited we snuggled upstairs in my parent's room & watched cartoons.  Later someone from my dad's work come by to have a look.  He discovered the power box in the garage had a switch turned off. So we cancelled Cambell & had heat again.  We came to find out Trace & Kenzie had been putting up a ceiling light in the basement &  Kenzie turned off three switches while Trace only turned back on two.  Oh the consequences of no communication.

Grandma made her famous playdough for Michael, he loved using all her fun cookie cutters

Fun toys at Grandma & Grandpa's house

Shelby & I were able to go see Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Pt 1.  It was awesome!  This year I read the whole Harry Potter series & watched each movie after each book.  Prior to seeing it in theater I'd only watched the first one in theater.  I can't wait until next year when Pt 2 will be released.

Check out those Harry glasses.  :)

We had so much fun in WA.  Coming back home I feel like I've had to start all over learning how to take care of two kids at once.  It was nice having all the extra help.  Kenzie was always wanting to hold Landon, it was nice.  When Kenzie wasn't home I missed "the baby holder" as I called him.  It was so nice having Michael spend time with family since he doesn't see either side often.  Thanks for all the great memories family!  Miss you, come visit anytime you can!!

Thanksgiving 2010

The family loading our plates

We ate later than usual (6pm?) but we thought it was going to be even later.
We were hungry & it sure tasted great.

I like my babies buritto style

We celebrated Joe's 32nd birthday with his favorite pie- cherry.
(this is a reenactment btw)

Michael enjoying the silly talking card.

Happy Birthday babe, hope you enjoyed it!
He should have considering he got Thanksgiving dinner on his Birthday!  :)

Our Winter Wonderland in WA

Anxiously waiting to go out & play in the snow while being teased by Uncle Trace throwing snow on the window.

All bundled up and ready to go

But apparently he likes throwing snowballs!

Hot cocoa to warm the soul

Michael loved playing in the snow unless it was on his face of course.  I wanted to take him sledding but we didn't have good clothes to do so.  Maybe next time we go home & it snows for us.  I enjoyed having two weeks of real winter but was grateful to come back home & enjoy some warmer weather.

This is what happens when you are still on Central Time in a Pacific Time Zone and you go to bed early...

It snows and your siblings take over your camera.

Sunday evening before Thanksgiving I was wiped out so I went to bed early.  It was kind of fun waking up to a white morning and pictures I had not taken on my camera.  Oh and if you're wondering who is sitting on the fireplace- it's a missionary.  They are currently living with my parent's in the basement.  They were fun to have around.

We got visitors in WA

While we were at my parent's home in WA our good friends went out of their way to come visit us.  They used to be in our ward but moved nearly two years ago, we were really happy to visit with them.  When they moved Michael was just starting to get their names down.  Since they moved we both had a baby & were excited to meet eachothers little ones.

Hayden & Michael

The boys had fun having a pillow fight.  I had to post the pictures where Michael was doing all the beating- but don't be fooled he got his share of pillow in the face.

Sweet Ginny having a good time with whatever she could find.

We had such a fun time catching up with Dirk, Laura, Hayden & meeting Ginny.  Thanks guys for going out of your way to come see us!
