Halloween 2012

We started out Halloween morning with a party at our ward playgroup that I help organize.  My beautiful witch friend and I put together the party and it was so much fun for the kids!  I downloaded Halloween songs on my phone to play during the party.  We did a craft made up of Marshmallows outlining a ghost, decorated sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles, eat adorable frankenstein jello, color a Halloween picture & they got to take home a bag of popcorn.

Halloween was fun this year with the boys getting more into dressing up.  Michael won a pumpkin at a playgroup Halloween party at Ft. Sam.  Only two pumpkins were handed out so he definitely has my luck. ;)
Trunk or Treat at our ward was awesome.  They had a horse for rides, a candy walk, dounut on a string & of course trunk or treat. The kids had a blast.
Trick or treating with Dorthy was "super" fun!  The kids were so cute.  I told them after they knocked and no one came after 10 seconds then they weren't home.  So they started counting to ten or until someone came at every house.  It was so sweet!  They were such good sports!
Hope you had a wonderful Halloween too!

"I do not like the way that they play! If Mother could see this, Oh, what would she say!"

Our Halloween this year was fun.  I liked how all the kids knew who we all were.  I think Michael really liked all the attention.  Joe wasn't able to make it with us to the Ward Trunk or Treat so I had to be Cat in the Hat.  I was originally going to be Sally.
I had to compromise with their costumes regarding their hair.  There was no way Landon was going to keep a hat on and there was no way Michael was going to let me touch his hair.  It worked out great even though they were different.  You can see Landon enjoying his first sucker in the picture above.  :)

Halloween 2010

Our costumes:  Joe & I were from India.  Michael obviously is a pumpkin/jack 'o lantern.  We took this picture Friday evening before our ward Halloween party & trunk or treat.  I didn't end up going since Landon was not too happy about getting shots earlier that day.

After trunk or treating Michael ran in the door to show me all his candy.  He was really excited about it.  He has already eaten all his candy.  I figured I'd just let him eat it & get rid of it.  Of course I helped after Michael went to bed.  :)

Saturday I took Michael to the store to pick out a pumpkin & carve it.  I told him he was incharge of the seeds.  He enjoyed playing with them.

 The finished product:

Brothers
Halloween night we put our pumpkin out & lit it.  After every trick or treater that came Michael had to check on his pumpkin before we shut the door.

Happy Halloween

Tonight we attended our ward Halloween party/ trunk or treat.  Michael won best costume for 1-4yr olds.  There were a ton of kids so we were impressed he won! I'm sure it had nothing to do with his big beautiful eyes and chubby cheeks.  ;)  Hope you had a fun and safe Halloween!
