Bowling, End of T-Ball & First Fish!

This year we tried out the Free Summer bowling program and loved it.  We went once with our playgroup too.  Bowling is always fun and Landon really enjoyed chilling on the side of the Dino after he bowled.

End of T-Ball season pics...

He was super excited about the trophy.

Proof that we can catch a fish! This season (our first as a family) has been rough fishing.  I think we learned a few things to help us out next go round. We had to throw him back but we eventually caught some catfish another day and we fried it up.

Grandma & Grandpa S visit!

While I made breakfast the morning after they arrived the boys showed Grandpa their cars.

Grandma brought them a Berenstain Bears book for them and read to them at night.

Zoo time!

Not long after we arrived Michael was wanting something to eat.  He said he wanted ice cream so I let him in on a little secret... Grandpa can't say no to ice cream or Grandsons he lives far away from.  So Michael asked and Grandpa delivered.

Blue bell of course!
Since it was a nice warm spring the butterfly exhibit was full of beautiful creatures and we relished in all the beauty.

Can't go to the Zoo and leave without a bird licking your neck.  He has sweet sweat apparently.

Another day we went to the Tower of the Americas but before heading up we stopped at the gift shop for a little look around to see what we could see...

Michael spied a large snake!

Mom found that
everything IS bigger in Texas!

and Landon too!

I didn't know I could make one of these action pictures but a program on my computer automatically did and since one is funny...

I had to have two.

After touching everything in the gift shop we were ready to head up top.  First we watched a 4D movie about Texas... or something pertaining to that (I'm writing this nearly a year later so I've since forgotten).

On top of Tower of the Americas with Grandma and Grandpa!

Doing what boys do best... running... from Mommy.

A few points of view... it's a little flat.

Grandma had to spoil them with cork guns.  They loved them!

Doesn't Landon look like a little red neck?

It's beautiful outside with water falls everywhere you look.

Pretty tile work.  There were several of these along a wall across a river of water but I only managed to take a picture of one.  There was a school field trip there eating lunch outside.

It was a nice day, and we ended our trip downtown by stopping by Chickfila for Lunch!
