T-Ball

Michael started playing T-Ball for the first time this year and he loves it.  I have to say we love it too.  It's a much better experience than basketball was. Here is a video of him hitting and running the bases at his first game(not too exciting of a video but cute).  I ran out of storage on my phone to record him making it to home plate but I have since learned how to clear my card to my pc.  :)

There was an opening ceremony that morning where they had all the teams line up on the field.  This is about half the teams there. The coaches read off each child's name on their team with the kids ran over by their coach.  It was cute.  Michael didn't run though, he took his time and walked.

I volunteered myself to put the kid's names on their t-shirts. It ended up being pretty easy with the help of a friend who cut out the kid's names with vinyl on her cricket. I was going to print out the names on freezer paper and cut them out by hand with an exacto knife. That saved me days and from having sore fingers. I need to get me one of those machines. These are most of the shirts. I did a few later as parent's got their kid's shirt to me. They turned out so cute and the parents all loved it. It has helped us learn the kids names and to cheer them on!

Michel putting his nose in the air. Michael's stance is saying "I already know what to do, you don't have to tell me."

Running in after everyone had a chance to bat.
(other team already cleared the field)

The coach leads the kids in a Red Sox cheer, they keep going after he's already left.
They really like this part. :)

The rest of Easter 2012

You probably can't tell from these pictures but the boys and myself were sick Easter weekend. No Easter church for us. :(  We were still able to enjoy our Easter Sunday morning with waffles for breakfast.  Well the boys really had candy for breakfast.  My bad.

Excited for breakfast but they didn't eat much of it since they were full of candy.

Grandma Shoemake sent an Easter package with a fun craft for Michael

After a yummy Easter dinner with flank steak, scalloped potatoes, rolls, broccoli & ice cream with a homemade raspberry/strawberry topping they went hunting for eggs in the backyard.
Anxiously waiting to go hunt for eggs outside. This was Landon's first time hunting for eggs, not sure he knows what's about to happen.  He figured it out quick after watching Michael find all the easy ones. :)

Trying to find more... he already got all the easy ones.
He reached his cap quick.

We had to help Landon find most of his since they were a bit harder to find.

Matching shirts I bought for the boys to wear on Easter.
They wanted to wear them the next Sunday they went to church since they were sick on Easter. I took this picture quickly before we left for church.  I was going to do it after but Michael wanted me to take it before.  I'm glad I did because they are hungry and ready to change their clothes as soon as they get home.

Kiddie Park

There is a fun Kiddie Park here with classic carnival rides that everyone kept telling me about.  So when I had the chance to purchase a coupon good for the place I jumped on it.  So I planned a day to go with a friend and her kids.

Michael looking a little unsure about the whole boat thing.  It wasn't his favorite.

Their favorite had to be the carousel. They rode it three times.  Landon just held his mouth open in awe the whole time enjoying it.  One ride that I had to go on with Landon spun around and around like the flying dumbo ride at Disney Land made me so sick.  I can't believe I didn't loose it. Thankfully my stomach settled down and we enjoyed our time there.  If we go back I will not be taking Landon on that ride!

Dying Easter Eggs

Scroll through the pictures and you'll see this kid loved dying eggs.
No more words necessary.
