Remember this post? I never let you all know that the other soldier that was going never had to. I also didn't tell you that I had no idea that Joe had volunteered along with the other soldier at that time to go. It actually doesn't surprise me, he warned me once before we joined. I found this out only a month ago while enjoying a Sunday afternoon dinner with friends. I was shocked that he never told me after it all happened. I was also shocked that he decided it would be a good idea to inform me by telling everyone that was there. Thanks Hun.
So onto the point of this post... because Joe and his friend had volunteered the first time, they now have orders to IRAQ. He'll be stationed in a combat support hospital and is already preparing to leave. He's scheduled to leave the first week of February '09. He'll be gone for 365 long days. He'll be going with one of his best friends. We are thankful for that. There is still a chance that he may not go. It depends if he can pass the required physical health tests. But for now he's going. I'll keep you all informed as we go along.

Oh Kelsey I am sooo sorry. A year is a long time with out your husband and I know you didn't want to him get sent out. The hospitals are the safest places to be out there, if that makes you feel any better. I am here for you if you EVER need anything... that is what friends are for.
I didn't want to hear this, but you know everyone will be here for you all.
Wow...news like that kind of takes your breath away. We are proud of Joe and really appreciate his sacrifice (and your sacrifice) for our country. Your little family will be in our prayers those 365 days. That's what families do and you are family to us you know!
I am sorry about the news, that is a long time to be away from him. The year that i was away from elmer was the hardest thing i have had to do, my heart goes out to you. on a happy note, now you can coome see me in hawaii and stay as long as you like, kai and i will help the time pass by. we would LOVE it. seriously!!!
Thank you joe for serving our country and thank you kelsey and micheal for letting him. you are better people than I th be so selfless.
i think that would be so hard. when he is gone you will have to go to washington for a long vacation. being around family really helps, so i have heard.... and boise is only 4 1/2 hours away from tri-cities, just thought i would throw that out there. hehe
Oh no, Kels. I don't know what to say. It's so neat that he can serve, but so long to be away. We're thinking about ya, things'll turn out the way they should.
