Halloween 2012

We started out Halloween morning with a party at our ward playgroup that I help organize.  My beautiful witch friend and I put together the party and it was so much fun for the kids!  I downloaded Halloween songs on my phone to play during the party.  We did a craft made up of Marshmallows outlining a ghost, decorated sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles, eat adorable frankenstein jello, color a Halloween picture & they got to take home a bag of popcorn.

Halloween was fun this year with the boys getting more into dressing up.  Michael won a pumpkin at a playgroup Halloween party at Ft. Sam.  Only two pumpkins were handed out so he definitely has my luck. ;)
Trunk or Treat at our ward was awesome.  They had a horse for rides, a candy walk, dounut on a string & of course trunk or treat. The kids had a blast.
Trick or treating with Dorthy was "super" fun!  The kids were so cute.  I told them after they knocked and no one came after 10 seconds then they weren't home.  So they started counting to ten or until someone came at every house.  It was so sweet!  They were such good sports!
Hope you had a wonderful Halloween too!

2yr & 5yr pictures

I was able to get some pretty cute photos of the boys this year for their birthday's.  Here are a few of each of them and the rest you can view on Facebook here for Michael's and here for Landon's (even if you are not on Facebook).

Super super

Last Christmas I made Michael a reversible batman superman cape. He didn't really want much to do with it. Come this year and Landon has decided he likes it and asks to wear it all the time. Now Michael wants to wear it. Hence the fighting over who gets to wear it after bath. So last night I decided to finally make the second one I had waited to make. I had all the materials just need to put it together. Late last night as I was starting to work on it Michael asked me if I was going to work on it all night and not sleep. Lol I couldn't believe he asked that. I told him of course I was going to go to bed. So this morning after breakfast I finished it and now we have two happy super super hero's. Super super comes from a video of Landon. It's hilarious. I'll have to post it sometime from my YouTube account.

The big 5!

Michael checking out his cake the morning after I made it

 Presents!

His favorite gift- Angry Birds Game, I think it was because he was the most surprised by it.

Hard to believe that Michael celebrated his 1st Birthday 4 years ago!

Michael was really excited to turn 5!  The morning after his birthday he was getting dressed after he'd already been up for a bit, I was just coming down and he said, "Oh I'm 5, I forgot to leave my blanket in my bed!"  We've been talking to him about not using it so much and to leave it in his room.  So I was surprised when he actually went though with it.  I guess talking about it over time worked since he knew what to expect.  Michael is one smart kid!  He is learning to read and is picking it up quite fast, he can do basic math and writes exceptionally well for his age.   He is so ready for Kindergarten but I'll be glad for him to be a little older next year and more socially ready.  He's been taking gymnastics for twice a week for 3hours as a substitute for preschool.  He loves it and I'm glad he's getting more active play!  Michael can be shy when it comes to new things but once he gets used to it he gets over his fears and come out of his shell.  He loves trying new sports, painting, helping me in the kitchen and riding his bike with training wheels.  He can be a real sweet kid but he does have his moments when he has a temper.  He makes friends pretty easily.  He loves getting his picture taken and will hold a smile forever. We love Michael and are so bless to be his parents!

Landon's 2nd Birthay

Landon turned 2 in September!
We had a few friends over to celebrate after church with dinner and cupcakes.  It was also a last goodbye to celebrate with our dear friends that were moving that week.

I guess it was too messy for his hands so he came up with his own solution

Opening presents later in the week since I didn't order them online soon enough!  Oops!  He didn't seem to mind though.  Next year he might.

Landon is growing up so fast!  He thinks he is just as big as Michael and can and will try anything he does.  He has a funny spunky personality that keeps me laughing daily.  He is very loving and loves giving me kisses.  He is learning his colors and letters already.  He is a great talker and I can understand just about everything he says.  He really admires Joe and Michael.  He still uses his pacifier when he sleeps and also uses a blanket and a few stuffed animals just like brother does.  He loves to eat and will mooch off you even if he just finished eating.  He loves fresh fruits and veggies, he'll eat a fresh tomato like it's candy!  I truly believe it's because I had gestational diabetes with him that he loves veggies so much. We adore Landon so much and can't imagine a day without his bright personality!
