Christmas 2013

Christmas Eve was spend with our neighbors and church friends with friends their family visiting.  We spend Christmas day there as well. It was so nice of them to include us in their Christmas.  There was lots of yummy food and the kids had a great time playing with their friends.

This Christmas season we had an Elf visit us this year.  Michael named her Bambi.  They loved finding her in funny spots each morning, sometimes with treats or reminders to be good.  Here they are leaving Santa cookies and saying goodbye to Bambi until next year.

On Christmas Eve Bambi brought Reindeer food for the boys to sprinkle on the lawn.

Christmas morning was pretty simple.  The boys loved all their gifts and even bought for each other and Michael bought for Joe and I.  That morning I tried a new recipe for cinnamon rolls that were egg free and they turned out horrible.  Next year I will definitely test it out first.  I was a little bummed they didn't turn out but we still had a great time that afternoon and evening at our friend's house.

We managed to not take a family photo that morning.  Oops, guess there's next year.

Budweiser Clydesdales

Fort Sam Houston's Equestrian Center hosted the Budweiser Clydesdale horses.  It was amazing to see them in person and realize how big they really are.  I don't think any of the pictures I took really shows how big they are.

Michael standing on top of a garbage can.  They really are beautiful well kept horses.  I wish I had more time that day and had taken more pictures.

Proof of how huge they are:

Our church Christmas Party:
I sang this song with two other women, we sounded great but the gym was a hard place for anyone to hear us, even with a microphone. Lots of musical talent was shared in our ward that night...

including the primary children.

 Landon clapping for Michael

Santa made a little visit and Michael randomly asked for a robot for Christmas

The Chocolate cheesecake I took for dessert for the Ward Christmas Party.
Grubby little(est) hands stole some raspberries off it while it was cooling in the fridge. Michael helped me place them on and was quite dissapointed that Landon had eaten some of them.

 A friend's birthday:
We helped celebrate a friend's birthday at an indoor inflatable place...
and brought home some funny party favors (lenses are removed).

1st Soccer Season

Michael really enjoyed playing soccer for the first time this year.  I was pretty happy with the season but not excited about the league we played in, we had a rough start.  Joe ended up coaching since we were assigned to a team that didn't have one. I could go on and complain more but I won't.  It ended up working out great. Joe did a great job to make sure the kids were having fun and still learning at the same time.  I ended up staying home for the practices with Landon to get some one on one time with him but we all went to every game.  Michael loved everyone on his team which consisted of five girls and five boys. When they played a game they played 3 on 3 on two fields.  Our team was not the best but not the worst.  All the kids tried hard and I'm pretty sure it was everyone's first time playing soccer. Of course the day Michael scored 3 goals (which he later said were 9 or 10 ha ha) I wasn't video recording him at all. It was cold and windy that morning so I had decided ahead of time that I wasn't going to.

I did get a few videos posted to my Youtube account.   You are welcome to follow me here ...Youtube. Just sign in and hit subscribe to follow me (This is mostly an invite for family but all friends are welcome to watch random videos of our kids, and I do mean random!).

Go Wolverines!

It was a little chilly one morning

Our season ended the weekend before Thanksgiving but we waited to have an end of season party at Momak's this weekend.
